Darren was glad to be home, if he was honest, sometimes being so far away from home got to him. But he had wonderful friends to keep his mind off of things. Now that he was home, Darren didn’t know what to do with himself. He had a total of two days before him and his family left for Disney. Darren decided to go back to his local haunts and play for old time sake. It meant grabbing his trusty old guitar his pink ray bans that just happened to be a gag gift from Joey, and walk to the local cafe.
Darren greeted Martha as he entered the cafe and made his way to the corner where the mic sat. He sat his guitar case down and then made his way over to the counter to order an apple juice. Once he had his drink, he made his way back to his guitar and started to tune it. The few people that were in the cafe started to look up from what they were doing, their interest piqued. Darren cleared his throat and smiled brightly. “Umm hey I’m just a smelly goober that likes the free apple juice here.” He laughed a little before sitting down and shrugging on his guitar strap. “I’ve been away at college but Martha seems to remember I like Minute Maid not Motts.” He heard a few laughs from the patrons before he smiled. “Anyways, I take request and I usually just to covers. So right, I think I’ll just start.” He strummed his guitar a few times before he started playing doing a cover of ‘Over the Rainbow’
Chris wasn’t sure what brought him to this coffee shop in San Francisco. What had brought him to San Francisco. Perhaps it was that mysterious stranger he had been writing to. All he knew was he was male, he was from San Fran, but went to Michigan, and he might have looked like some hobo Harry Potter. Then again, why the hell was he thinking about a school assignment when he was supposedly in spring break? Chris hung back as the crowd gathered around the stage and ordered his black and white Frappuccino. He took a swig from it, and blinked. Wow, this performer at the coffee shop had to be a popular one. Well, at least there’d be good music.
He sat down. He definitely needed the sit down, as his mind was totally swarming with thoughts. In a couple of weeks, he’d be heading back to LA with his mom for an audition for a new show… It wasn’t expected to be the next big thing, but with Ryan Murphy in the Producer’s Seat? Shit! Chris was such a huge Grey’s Anatomy fan. The idea that he’d be in the same room as the guy, why, he might pee himself before he made it to the audition room or something! This audition was sort of hush hush, but it was still kind of big. Chris could have fantasized of how much his life could change if this was his dealbreaker, but he was doing his best to keep a level head.
He raised an eyebrow as the guy took the stage, and he took a swig from his coffee. He was pretty cute. A soft smile tugged at the corners of his mouth. He was really cute, with a voice to boot! He also got major props for Over the Rainbow.
